Bulgarian Monestery to build a Small Hydropower Plant on the River Iliina

Bulgaria's Rila Holy Cloister Monastery intends to use the proceeds of the grant funds provided by the Kozloduy International Decommissioning Support Fund, administered by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development for a project for Construction of a Small Bulgarian Hydro Power Plant on the Iliina River for the secure and reliable Energy Supply and for the Energy Efficiency Improvements of the Rila Holy Cloister and the Rila area. The proposed project, which has a total estimated cost of EUR 2.9 million will require the procurement of the design, supply, construction and commissioning of a small hydro power plant on the Iliina River. The procurement of the above contract is is expected to begin in the third quarter of 2011. Source: EBRD
